Following the news that some breakdown cover providers are introducing new policies restricting access to their services we would like to clarify the DBT’s breakdown cover offer.
Some breakdown covers are now stating that there is a mileage restriction on recovery if the vehicle does not have a spare tyre or an inflator kit, or is not fitted with run flat tyres. This is NOT the case for the DBT breakdown scheme which will cover you regardless.
Additionally, like many aspects of the world COVID-19 is impacting the service on offer. If your vehicle breaks down and cannot be repaired by the roadside you may not be offered travel in the recovery vehicle. If this is the case alternative transport will be arranged for you, and all passengers, at no additional cost to the member.
