The Sheffield Steelers’ fixtures for the coming season have now been released, with the ice hockey season getting officially underway with a match against local rivals the Nottingham Panthers on Saturday 31 August.
Once again, members of Derbyshire Benevolent Trust (DBT) can apply for discounted tickets. Under the exclusive offer, DBT members will pay £10 for adult tickets (normally £17) and each adult can reserve one free ticket (normally £5) for an accompanying child under the age of 16.
As in previous years, the reduced price tickets are for home games only and are subject to availability.
“The Sheffield Steelers’ matches provide great entertainment for the whole family,” says DBT manager Ian Godfrey, “By working in partnership with the Steelers, the trust has secured discounted ticket prices and this has proved to be really popular among members with many having taken up this offer in previous seasons.
“I hope that more of our members will book tickets in the coming season and suspect that many who have been to a match in the past will be keen to go again.”
While the season starts at the end of August, three pre-season matches are being held earlier in the month and ticket requests will not be taken for these fixtures.
Discounted tickets are also unavailable for a double-header on Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 September when the Steelers face the Guildford Flames and Glasgow Clan respectively. Tickets costing £10 to cover both fixtures will be available through the box office.
The Steelers, who play at the Fly DSA Arena in Sheffield, are offering £5 fixtures on 16 and 30 October, 27 November and 4 January. The club will take ticket requests but there will be no concessions, with all tickets costing £5.
